The price of Azerbaijani Azeri Light crude oil continues its upward trajectory in global markets.
The cost per barrel rose by $1.06, or 1.5%, from the previous day, reaching $71.85. This marks an increase from the prior price of $70.79 per barrel. For context, Azerbaijan’s 2025 state budget was based on an average oil price of $70 per barrel for Azeri Light crude.
Notably, since April 4, the price of local Azerbaijani oil had remained below the $70 mark. However, in the last three trading sessions, Azeri Light prices have consistently surpassed this threshold, signaling renewed strength in the market.
